These Terms govern your use of the mobile application CamRef (the “App”) on iOS and Android. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

What the App is

CamRef is an independent reference for users of the Sony RX10 IV camera. It offers informational content (including menu paths, explanations, and diagrams). It is not a Sony product and not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony Corporation or its affiliates.

“Sony” and “RX10 IV” are trademarks of their respective owners.

Not professional advice

Content in the App is for general information only. It is not professional photography, legal, or safety advice. You are responsible for how you use your camera and for complying with local laws and venue rules.

No warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that content will always match every firmware revision or regional menu variation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim (or, if greater, the minimum allowed by law).

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App (for example: no reverse engineering beyond what the law allows, no attempt to interfere with the App’s normal operation, no use in violation of law).

Third-party services and links

The App may open third-party websites (such as Sony’s official documentation) in your browser. Those services are governed by their own terms; we are not responsible for them.

Changes to the App and Terms

We may update the App and these Terms. Material changes to the Terms will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
